Psychotherapy is a practice of deep listening; it helps you feel connected, grounded and understood.

The therapeutic relationship provides a safe environment where you are free to explore the feelings, patterns and obstacles that have come between you and your passions and goals.  In addition to working with adults, couples, families and groups, I have extensive experience working with children and adolescents both in my private practice and directly within the school setting.  In my work with children, I often use a dyadic approach (parent and child) because it provides a powerful means of addressing deep difficulties in real time.   For the past four years, I have been chosen as a “Favorite Kids’ Doc” by New Jersey Family Magazine.

My expertise from working as a therapist in a variety of school settings has given me the skills to identify and resolve issues such as school anxiety/avoidance/refusal, learning challenges and social difficulties.  This background enables me to gain the collaboration of the student's school and ancillary systems.

My holistic style integrates all levels of communication within a mind/body framework.  I am a certified yoga instructor with specialized training in therapeutic and restorative yoga.  We may choose to integrate relaxation, breath work and mindfulness to further enhance the benefits of your treatment.

I earned my Masters Degree in Social Work at Fordham University in 2005 and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of New Jersey.

I completed post-graduate training in play therapy, psychoanalysis, infant mental health, attachment theory, affect regulation, dyadic therapy, family therapy and couples therapy.

I obtained my certification as a yoga instructor through Yoga Synthesis in 2009 and have completed additional certifications in Restorative and Therapeutic yoga.
